I want to remember this meadow

A particular meadow was the starting point, but the painting does not depict it literally. Broad fields of green and small botanical details take the place of a conventional landscape.

The composition has one clear point of focus. From a distance, colour has the strongest effect; close up, small brush marks and differences between the layers become visible.

The format and palette were considered in relation to an interior. The painting can provide the main accent on a wall without overwhelming the rest of the room.
